Surrender To Love
From the film: ‘SAMA: To Listen
What’s The Story?
The film ‘SAMA: To Listen’, a Sufi trip, was shot in Fes, Istanbul and Malaysia. Much of this album (Surrender To Love) was recorded on that trip with local musicians. Resulting sessions were sculpted into incidental music for the film - 8 tracks from here and 6 tracks from the earlier album “Music From The Temple Of Light”.
“Surrender To Love” is a well known Sufi saying - with one limited interpretation, the mind is a wonderful thing as are other chakras but better lead from the heart, especially in music. Other tracks were recorded in London, Mumbai, Odesa and Imbassai before and after the trip.

“As someone who rarely strays outside of the narrow western musical confines within which I’ve grown up, I’m not sure whether I’ve managed to convey just how majestic and beautiful this album truly is. But trust me when I tell you that it is, in spades. Check it out ASAP!”
